[Mountain View, Calif., December 15, 2020] – The global push to bring electric charging infrastructure to the forefront of policy and initiative creation has led AMPLY Power to join the Electrification Coalition Business Council (ECBC), a new strategic advisory group comprised of leading companies including Ford, General Motors, Kia, Volvo, Uber and more, spanning the transportation sector.
Leveraging AMPLY’s industry expertise and the Electrification Coalition’s history of policy advocacy and program implementation at the local, state, and federal levels, ECBC will help accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) on a mass scale in order to overcome the economic, public health, and national security challenges caused by the United States’ dependence on oil. ECBC includes members spanning the transportation electrification supply chain and all sectors of vehicles, positioning the council to be a powerful voice in support of transportation electrification.
“We are honored to be a part of this distinguished advisory group that will surely lead the way in transitioning our world toward electric transportation,” said Vic Shao, CEO and founder of AMPLY Power. “With concern for our air quality and public health growing every day, it is imperative that the country takes action to reduce emissions. I strongly believe that by joining forces, this group will be able to make a significant impact on the transportation industry and serve as an example for other industries that are looking to decarbonize to follow”
“The United States’ transition to an electrified transportation future isn’t a question of if – it’s when,” said Ben Prochazka, national director of the Electrification Coalition “ECBC creates a strategic alliance that can supercharge support for the policies and actions needed to accelerate transportation electrification at a mass scale.”
One of only a handful of nationally focused electrification groups, the Electrification Coalition has experienced staff across the United States and continues to develop and launch programs that leverage the strategic intersection of implementation and policy in order to expedite our electrified transportation future.
